My second time in New York I wanted to stay on the other side of the East River. Out in Brooklyn. One day on my way home from Manhattan I decided to stop in Brooklyn Heights to get a view of the Manhattan skyline from the promenade. And it is probably one of the best spots to enjoy the city outline from. What I didn’t know was that this was going to be such a quiet, leafy, cozy neighbourhood. Even though there are mostly residential streets, there are also a few small shops around, for the basic stuff. In the end I actually found myself checking out real estate in the agent’s window display 🙂 A short walk away I also bumped into Fulton Mall, a pedestrian street where you get everything that you need. I heart Brooklyn Heights!
